Spring
By: Madison Isenhour (8th grade)
Rising from the pain in your past
From where you came
You grow and develop
This is your period of beginning.
You are a flower in bloom
You are bright and new
You are as harmless as the wet dew
New and frail but no where near weak
Nor are you meek.
Beautiful as Spring
You’re beginning
You are Spring.
I Remember
By: Jasmine Garret (6th grade)
I remember when I was a little girl
You picked me up and said I can have the whole world.
I remember saying Daddy when you came around
I remember you turning my frowns upside down
I remember the saddest day, November 17, 2006
Seeing you in a casket not knowing what happened
Blooming Flowers
by: Jayda Duke (6th grade)
Outside is wonderful
With a field of color
They’re bright and glorious
Like no other.
The smell in the air
Is so refreshing
This day can’t get any better
Considering it is spring
Let’s go to the park
To have a picnic
It feels so great out here
Why not hang glide
I know this has no superpowers
But today started with blooming flowers.
Chained Love
By: Twan'nya Thomas (6th Grade)
I remember when you use to call
You always catch me when I fall
You said I’m special and I can have it all
But that day, that certain rainy day
You called and said you were going away.
My heart stopped and shattered
I missed you everyday all day long
My life had stop being a happy song
Now that you are gone
I missed the happy times we used to have everyday
We would joke around and laugh
But you’re gone. So long.
Spring
By: Madison Fleming (6th Grade)
Spring, not too hot
Not too cold
Just in the middle
So I won’t scold
Cows are mooing
Trees are blooming
In the spring
You can do anything.
No dead trees
There’s just lots of ice cream!
So many picnics
Sharing lots of secrets
Hugging one another
Loving each other
Pollen instead of snow
It’s not cold
But can cause a runny nose.
And when Spring ends
Summer will begin.
I Miss You
By: Renetta Obuloror (6th Grade)
I miss you so much
I can still feel your touch
I always think about you
When I saw you,
I already knew.
Mom said you would always be with me
But I didn’t know what that meant.
I loved you from the very start.
You were like a second mom to me.
I will never forget one thing
How we would always sing together.
We were like two birds and a feather
On January, 22, 2014, you went with Jesus
And got your wings.
I love you, my dear Gracie.
